Directions
FROM THE NORTH (Denver, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, etc)
- Take I-25 South to Exit 52 into Walsenburg.
- In Walsenburg, follow the signs to US-160
- Turn RIGHT on US-160 West for 11.3 miles to CO-12.
- Turn LEFT (South) on CO-12 for 36 miles (you’ll go past La Veta, Cuchara, North Lake & Monument Lake). Stonewall Gap is a tiny town located between Milepost Markers 37 and 38.
- In the town of Stonewall, turn LEFT just BEFORE Stonewall Lodge onto a small dirt road.
- Follow the road for 200 yards to Stonewall View Guesthouse on left (low yellow bungalow with green roof).
FROM THE SOUTH (Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Raton, etc)
- Take I-25 North to Trinidad.
- Follow the signs to CO-12 West (Highway of Legends).
- Take CO-12 West through Trinidad westward for 34 miles. Stonewall Gap is a tiny town located between Milepost Markers 37 and 38.
- Just AFTER Stonewall Lodge, turn RIGHT onto a small dirt road.
- Follow the road for 200 yards to Stonewall View Guesthouse on left (low yellow bungalow with green roof).
FROM THE WEST (Durango, Pagosa Springs, Alamosa, etc)
- Take US-160 East to CO-12.
- Turn RIGHT (South) on CO-12 for 36 miles (you’ll go past La Veta, Cuchara, North Lake & Monument Lake). Stonewall Gap is a tiny town located between Milepost Markers 37 and 38.
